XIaomi’s MiUI 12 launcher is rolling out globally to phones like the Mi 8 and 9 and those Redmi Notes, and now comes packed on the Poco X3 NFC and other fresh mobiles. I really love those MiUI 12 updates, so here’s a closer look at some of the best new features, showing you how to get started with your Xiaomi phone.
One of my favourite upgrades on version 12 of this launcher is the Super Wallpapers. You can get this downloaded in APK form if your handset doesn’t support it with vanilla MiUI – check out the XDA Devs guide on how to install them:
Xiaomi has also added an apps tray, upgraded the Game Turbo tool and added the Video Toolbox feature. Game Turbo is ideal for your PubG or CoD Mobile sessions, with performance boosting and shortcuts to floating window apps. Those floating windows can also be called up when a notification pops in, or from the recent apps tray.
If you haven’t had the MiUI 12 upgrade yet, no worries. Xiaomi regularly updates with the rollout schedule, over on its website. And the Mi 10 (standard and Pro) will be getting the Android 11 update imminently as well, in a refreshingly timely fashion! Stay tuned for my full review.
